Core update

I posted about having a weak core a little over a month ago. Since then I’ve been pretty consistent with the exercises listed on that post. I would say 5 out of 7 days I do them. I’ve gotten to holding the a plank up to 45 seconds each time. I really wasn’t sure if my efforts were paying off, but I learned yesterday my efforts are paying off!

During crossfit one of the exercise we had to do was a side plank for a cumulative 2 minutes, in 30 second intervals. 30 seconds on the right, 30 seconds on the left, 30 seconds on the right, 30 seconds on the left. I was dreading it. DREADING! But, I was pleasantly surprised!

I got into position and held it on my right side for 30 seconds. Whoa. I moved to my left and did the same! Well alright now! I shifted back to my right side and held the post for 20 seconds then I started to waiver, but I held it the 30 seconds. Back to the left side and I held it for 15 seconds before starting to waiver, but I forced myself to push through to 30 seconds.

Ha! I’m feeling good about myself now. I’m pumped! Must keep pressing toward my goals. Making progress!
